We were very sad to share the news that our long-time, good friend Bob Nicholls, recently passed away. Our condolences and hearfelt wishes go to his family at this sad time.

His funeral is on Wednesday 6th November at 12pm at St Mary’s Church in Kempsford. His daughter Hannah, has said that all are welcome to come.

Bob was a wonderful gentleman and loyal supporter of the club for many years and could be seen pitch-side at the Whiteway most weekends. He avidly watched the 1XV both home and away and just last weekend he attended the Friday night lights game and then the 2XV team game on Saturday, where he organised beer jugs for the team in the changing rooms.

He loved the club, enjoyed many friendships and attended the social activities and member’s lunches. He went on the senior tours, most recently to Poland, Cyprus, Portugal, France and Spain.

A generous man he often supported fundraising campaigns including the floodlights and celebrated his 80th birthday in September.

Passionate about rugby, he enjoyed companionship with all club members in the bar, particularly the players and the OF’s!

RIP Bob; you will be dearly missed.
